I bought a bead roller last night in an effort to make something useful out of my cane scraps. It wasn't as easy as I thought it be to use, but with a little practice I think that the beads came out ok.
These came from a Fourth of July cane I'm working on.
I ended up with 30 beads total.

Easter Eggs
Trying to get A-bear to stop making snakes of all sizes and colors, I decided to work with her to make something just about as easy.
Since Easter is coming up I figured that we should make some Easter Eggs.
I can never seem to leave well enough alone so we had to dress them up a little bit.
Introducing Princess Egg.
My wife and I have recently found out that we are expecting another child. Another girl to be specific. This put A-bear over the moon with happiness. She's been asking for a little sister for the past couple of years now. When we told her the news, she wanted to make a big sister/little sister pair of Easter Eggs.
I think they came out pretty well.

Angry Birds
A-bear loves the game Angry Birds. Rovio really knew what they were doing with that game, it appeals to all age groups.
When we first bought clay A wanted to make some angry birds of her own. Here are the five that we've made so far. Red bouncy Bird, Blue splitter Bird, Yellow superfast Bird, Black bomb Bird, and Red superbig Bird.
I know the birds aren't supposed to have feet or tongues, but sometimes a 6 year old can not be dissuaded.

The beginning.
I started playing with polymer clay as something to do with my daughter, A-bear. However it seems like I enjoy it more than she does.
In the past month I've spent more money than I want to think about, but I've made some really cool pieces. My daughter is 6 years old so it's hard to find something that she can do without getting frustrated.
My first piece was a heart cane that didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. My wife and daughter got matching earrings out of the experiment though, so they were happy.
I've started this blog in order to share some pictures of what A-bear and I have made. I hope you'll enjoy them.
